Known as the “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson was a best-selling American singer, songwriter, and dancer. As a child, Jackson became the lead singer of his family’s popular Motown group, the Jackson 5. He went on to a solo career of astonishing worldwide success, delivering No. 1 hits from the albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. Thriller remains one of the best-selling albums in history. In his later years, Jackson was dogged by allegations of child molestation. The time Grammy Award winner died in at age 50 of a drug overdose just before launching a comeback tour.

For some, he is worlds best. He has collaborated with some of the most popular Greek singers and composers and has given numerous performances in Greece and internationally.

In February Manolis Karantinis gave an evening seminar on the bouzouki in London, UK. The seminar is available on this website in two main parts.
In June we filmed Manolis again in Athens making an extensive analysis on bouzouki playing. The material of this recording was long enough to create two videos: Introduction to Bouzouki and Modes, Chords & Improvisations.
In May , amid the Covid crisis we managed whilst maintaining social distancing and taking all precautions, to get Manolis in a studio. We filmed a series of videos that feature key phrases on the four string bouzouki on all modes covered in previous releases. The recording was done by Athanasios Gikas, at Mythos Studios, Athens.
The production was done by a small team of musicians and technicians, in London initially and Later in Athens, who thought that this work is worth becoming available online. Just Manolis himself, his bouzouki and the guys who worked with him. The first videos, in London, where done with whatever equipment we could get our hands on.
