It’s about creating healthier environments, regardless of one's socioeconomic status, race, or ethnicity. With the use of data and evidence to inform decision-making and improve health outcomes. To me, public health is personal. It’s about protecting the health of our families, friends, and communities. I’m passionate about building a future where everyone has the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.

LEO Yee Sin
Prof Leo Yee Sin’s distinguished service to Singapore’s battles against infectious diseases is well documented. She has led her team through multiple outbreaks in the last 2 decades and these include Nipah, SARS, the pandemic influenza, Zika, and multiple surges of Dengue. She successfully managed Singapore’s first imported case of the Monkeypox in May Her current priority is now in the challenging fight against Covid
Having published more than scientific papers, Prof Leo has made significant contributions to clinical development, academic research and public health policies. Topics of her research interest include dengue, influenza, emerging infections, HIV and Covid
Recognised as a leading infectious disease expert, Prof Leo serves on many clinical committees, locally and internationally.
Prof Leo also enjoys teaching and mentoring her junior doctors.
Martin Donohoe
Martin Donohoe, MD, FACP practices internal medicine; is the author of Public Health and Social Justice ( Jossey Bass/Wiley) and host of the community access cable television program and podcast, Prescription for Justice; serves on the Social Justice Committee of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) and the Board of Advisors of Oregon PSR; and was Chief Scientific Advisor to Oregon PSR’s Campaign for Safe Food from
He received his BS and MD from UCLA, completed internship and residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School, and was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at Stanford University. His career has included clinical practice in academic medical centers, community hospitals, and clinics for homeless and un/underinsured patients.
Martin has developed and taught courses in public health, medical humanities, social justice ethics, women’s health, and the history of medicine at UCLA, UCSF, Stanford, OHSU, Clark College, and Portland State. He has published articles and frequently lectures on public health and social justice, activism, and the medical humanities.
