Roerva was born on 17th April , the daughter of Irven Christensen and Ruth, formerly Butler.

Her name is a combination of her parents names (Ruth Ott, and Erven). She generally went by the name Cathy - where this came from is yet unknown (see research notes).
She married fireman Stephen Joseph Pelzer on 28th June in San Francisco. [5]
Together they had five children.
She died on 6th January of a heart attack.

Sources disagree as to what her official name actually was, and unfortunately I can't find a birth record to confirm either way.
The censuses all show other family members with middle names or initials, but her name simply shows as "Roerva Christensen", suggesting that was her only name. If this is the case, then the name "Cathy" or "Catherine" was probably an alternative name to mask her rather unusual official name.
Her marriage in gives her name as "Roerva C Christensen", suggesting that Catherine could in fact be her middle name, or at the very least she had adopted it as a middle name by that point.
