Hickok45&#;s real name is Greg Kinman, a retired middle-school English teacher from Pleasant View, Tennessee. Most people know him from his YouTube videos about firearms. He has been creating his videos since January 6, and has since attracted more than 2 million followers to his channel, Hickok His son John Kinman helps him to make the videos and they cover firearms of all makes and models, historic and modern. In the videos he gives interesting facts about each gun, like the correct name of the gun, the manufacturer, the cost, how to load and fire it, etc. Greg also shows off his marksmanship as he rarely misses his target when shooting.

The Colt LE, largely a civilian cousin of the M4 Carbine, though with a slightly longer barrel and a Magpul MBUS replacing the standard carry handle / sight.
The Colt series is a line of semi-automatic AR rifles chambered in x45mm NATO made by Colt's Manufacturing Company. They are one of many model numbers and variations produced by Colt over the years and there are quite a few models in the series. Fundamentally, they're Colt's non-military variations of the M4 Carbine, though the OEM1 and OEM2 variants CAN come with slightly longer barrels.
Older models produced during the Federal Assault Weapons Ban () will feature law enforcement markings, e.g. "Law Enforcement" on the Colt LE). This has helped to make them somewhat collectible since many consider them an interesting and important part of U.S. history.
Older models seemed to have a more charcoal / "light" black finish. This appears to be different from the darker black finish that the Colt series now ships with.

Since the adoption of the Colt M4 in , there has been a desire for a carbine that would be semiautomatic only and would incorporate the improvements that made the M4 as accurate and as reliable as it is. Many law enforcement agencies liked the concept of the M4 but did not want the liability of issuing officers selective fire (burst or auto) weapons. Given the climate of crime in these times and the easy availability of body armor, it is essential for police to have high power rifles so they may deal with any possible situation.
The LE
Colt introduced the LE in This weapon is as close as one can get to the mil-spec M4 that is supplied to American forces. This carbine differs only in the barrel length, inches instead of inches, and the omission of the burst/auto fire control settings. The first 1, carbines were sold to Kiesler Police Supply.
The barrel is inches long with the standard A2-style muzzle brake/compensator. It wasn't until I joined the U.S. Customs Service in the early s that I trained with Colt M16 and Colt CAR rifles and carbines. I was issued a brand new Colt CAR with a fixed carry handle and a collapsible stock. I liked this rifle so much that I refused to transition to the Steyr AUG when my agency adopted this 21st century-looking bull-pup design in the tail end of the 20th century.
Even though a considerable number of Steyr AUGs were issued to U.S. Customs Agents I continued to remain a huge fan of the Colt M16, AR and CARso much so that when I took three undercover boat trips to the coast of Colombia I made sure that my crew was armed with four Colt CARs and one Colt M16 Heavy Barrel, in addition to pistols and shotguns.
