Zielsetzung

Das Bayerische Musiker-Lexikon Online (BMLO) ist als virtuelles Nachschlagewerk ein musikwissenschaftliches Modellprojekt.

Lexikon: Das BMLO bietet ein digitales Personenlexikon zur Musik und ein Erschließungswerkzeug für Musiklexika, biographische Literatur, archivalische, bibliothekarische und virtuelle Datenbestände, die den behandelten Personen der bayerischen Musikgeschichte zugeordnet sind.

Modell: In der Pilotprojektphase von bis entwickelte das BMLO am Beispiel der bayerischen Musikgeschichte prototypische Infrastrukturen, datentechnische Standards, kommunikative Routinen und bibliothekarische Normen eines musikwissenschaftlichen Lexikons im Internet. Dabei wurde es von der DFG aus Mitteln zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Literaturversorgungs- und Informationssysteme unterstützt. Seit wird das BMLO kontinuierlich aktualisiert und erweitert.


Vernetzung: Seit ist das BMLO integraler Bestandteil zweier virtueller Fachbibliotheken der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek: der Fachbibliothek Musik (ViFa Musik) und der Bayerischen Landesbibliothek Online (BLO); in Kürze kommt das Biographie-Portal hinzu. Mehrere

"Plaisir d'Amour" ("The Pleasure of Love") is a classical French love song written in by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini (&#;).

It took its text from a poem by Jean-Pierre Claris de Florian (&#;), which appears in his novel Célestine.

The song was greatly successful in Martini's version. For example, a young woman, Madame Julie Charles, sang it to the poet Alphonse de Lamartine during his cure at Aix-les-Bains in , and the poet was to recall it 30 years later.

"Jean-Paul-Égide Martini, (31 August &#; 14 February ) was a composer of classical music. Sometimes known as Martini Il Tedesco, he is best known today for the vocal romance "Plaisir d´amour," on which the Elvis Presley pop standard "Can´t Help Falling in Love" is based. He is sometimes referred to as Giovanni Martini, resulting in a confusion with Giovanni Battista Martini, particularly with regard to the composition "Plaisir d´amour"´.

Martini was born Johann Paul Aegidius Martin in Freystadt, Bavaria as son of the schoolmaster Andreas Martin and his wife Barbara. He was educated at the Jesuit seminary in Neuburg an der Donau and later started a study of philosophy in Freiburg im Breisgau, which he quit unfinished. He temporarily adopted the code name "Schwarzendorf", presumably trying to cover his tracks for the fear of being urged to refund his education cost.
