Boots Belts Berets

July 17,
The book is a fast read and a page-turner.

It's an excellent coming-of-age story of a few youngsters who got into the hallowed environment of NDA (National Defense Academy).

The book chronicles their entry, tough and punishing schedules, and extreme ragging culture. And it shows the kind of rigor that these young folks go through that makes them daring, toughened, and strong soldiers.

Probably there is no career/course that can transform a raw young man into a such diverse, brawn, and brainy professional. Within three years - they learn extreme discipline, parading, horse riding, swimming, trekking, firing, handling firearms, and much more than any graduate learns.

Anyone who stayed in hostels can relate to the story. Though the story is much more extreme.

The story is funny and sprinkled with numerous pranks that youngsters played among themselves and with the academy. No wonder it is getting transformed into a web series.

Certainly, a must-read for any NDA aspirant (I too was introduced via my niece who is appearing this year for NDA Entrance!).
