Einstein. Biografia De Um Gênio Imperfeito

October 12,
Books on Einstein and his work are not exactly thin on the ground. There's even been more than one book before with a title centring on Einstein's mistake or mistakes. So to make a new title worthwhile it has do something different - and David Bodanis certainly achieves this with Einstein's Greatest Mistake. If I'm honest, the book isn't the greatest on the science or the history - but what it does superbly is tell a story. The question we have to answer is why that justifies considering this to be a good book.

I would compare Einstein's Greatest Mistake with the movie Lincoln - it is, in effect, a biopic in book form with all the glory and flaws that can bring. Compared with a good biography, a biopic will distort the truth and emphasise parts of the story that aren't significant because they make for a good screen scene. But I would much rather someone watched the movie than never found out anything about Lincoln - and similarly I'd much rather someone read this book than didn't know anything about Einstein, other than he was that crazy clever guy with the big white hair. Einstein's Greatest Mistake isn't going to impres

Who Was Albert Einstein?

Albert Einstein was a German mathematician and physicist who developed the special and general theories of relativity. In , he won the Nobel Prize in Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect. In the following decade, he immigrated to the United States after being targeted by the German Nazi Party. His work also had a major impact on the development of atomic energy. In his later years, Einstein focused on unified field theory. He died in April at age With his passion for inquiry, Einstein is generally considered the most influential physicist of the 20th century.

Summary

While his early childhood was unimpressive, Einstein later earned the respect of the entire world and won the coveted Nobel Prize. His name is the most revered in physics.

Even though he was a well-respected genius, Einstein mingled freely among ordinary folk, just as easily as he did scholars and politicians. And while Einstein had a great sense of humor, he was also a bit reckless in the way he led his personal life.

To truly appreciate this brilliant scientist, who, at the age of 26, wrote the scholarly articles that fundamentally altered the foundation of physics, it is first important to look at his background and the environment in which he grew up in. Interestingly, while Einstein's performance in math and physics was outstanding, he was not the only one in his family with a brilliant mind. His father also had an inclination towards mathematics, and his sister earned a doctorate in literature

Born in Germany in , Albert Einstein is one of the most celebrated scientists of the Twentieth Century. His theories on relativity laid the framework for a new branch of physics, and Einstein&#;s E = mc2 on mass-energy equivalence is one of the most famous formulas in the world. In , he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his contributions to theoretical physics and the evolution of Quantum Theory.

Einstein is also well known as an original free-thinker, speaking on a range of humanitarian and global issues. After contributing to the theoretical development of nuclear physics and encouraging F.D. Roosevelt to start the Manhattan Project, he later spoke out against the use of nuclear weapons.

Born in Germany to Jewish parents, Einstein settled in Switzerland and then, after Hitler&#;s rise to power, the United States. Einstein was a truly global man and one of the undisputed genius&#; of the Twentieth Century.
